The Group aims to help members develop their ideas about what makes an interesting photograph and how to use their cameras to capture it.
We do this by going on photoshoots in the afternoon if locally and all day if further afield.

Photoshoots may also be organized for an evening later in the month, light and weather permitting.
Our photoshoots cover all types of photography, including urban locations, landscapes and nature, and end in a local café or pub. We also take photographs that fit a theme that is drawn from a hat each month which members can follow as precisely or tenuously as they wish.
We share our images on the Group's Facebook page where we provide constructive comments on each other’s photographs.
We also hold occasional indoor meetings during the winter in Lovedean Village Hall or Napier Hall for training sessions or to review our activities over the past year and discuss any other matters of interest. We normally pay £2 to cover the cost of the Hall and refreshments.
We welcome new members and anyone interested in joining should send Clive an email by clicking on his name at the top of the page.
Clive produces a regular newsletter with details of and pictures from our photoshoots, as well as the plan for next month and the theme for pictures to be posted on Facebook.
The Newsletters and the Programme planned for the coming months as well as a list of our previous events can be found by clicking on the buttons on the right.
The Group does not currently focus on post-processing images in Adobe Photoshop or other software but anyone who wants to develop their skills doing this might like to join the Horndean Camera Club which meets in Catherington Village Hall.
