Our speaker this month is Martin Small, Trustee and Planning & Conservation Chair for the Friends of the South Downs.

Born and raised in Somerset, Martin has spent his career in town and country planning and has a lifelong passion for protected landscapes. Now retired and living in Hampshire, he devotes his time to helping care for the Downs as a Trustee and District Officer.

Martin is a strong advocate for using the planning system to protect the landscape, wildlife and heritage of the National Park while supporting the needs of local communities.

This promises to be an engaging look at what keeps the South Downs special and we do hope you can come along.
