We had a good day for our trip to the ruins of Waverley Abbey which is situated in a peaceful loop of the River Wey near Farnham and was the first monastery founded in Britain by the reforming Cistercian religious order.
Following our photoshoot, which included pictures of the spectacular ancient yew tree, we walked around The Remembering Garden next to the river before ending the afternoon in the cafe for the usual tea, coffee and cake.
